Newest member Sheryl opened the meeting with a nice introduction to Marie, our chair for the evening. Our theme was “Spring has Sprung”. Marie used this theme throughout the meeting by explaining what type of spring each member was.

Ezra presented the Toast to Canada. He told us how nice it was to live in Canada and enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Especially today, since the temperature was a sunny and warm 22 degrees. Brian presented the word Empathy for language enricher. Audrey read two poems for literary corner. Her poems were called “Natures Call” and “I wander lonely as a Cloud”. Linda P presented an off the cuff speech called “My intimating Yard”. Keith presented a workshop called “Developing a Mission” from the Leadership Excellence Series. This was the last project that Keith had to do to achieve his silver.

Jane presented a challenging round of table topics where four members would work together to create a story. It was unofficial, but the one team of men won this round of table topics.

The meeting ended with a business meeting run by Jane. These are the nominations for the upcoming elections. President: Diane B, Brian, George. VP of Education; Marie. Treasurer: Allan. Please attend our next meeting on April 27th at St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Listowel starting at 7:14 pm. The theme is “Backwards Meeting”.
