Call meeting to order (7:15): Jane Stoltz was chairperson and welcomed introductions by all seven Speechcrafters.
Loyal Toast & Timer was Vanessa. She mentioned the history and origins of Thanksgiving. Grammarian was presented by Sylvia. The word of the day was ameliorate which means to make or become better. It was used six times throughout the meeting.
The Ice Breaker Speech was presented by Cathy Be in Earnest Speeches were presented by Sylvia and Vanessa
Organizing Your Speeches were presented by Royden, Susan, Rich and Matt. Oral Evaluations were given by toastmasters.
Educational Module: Gestures was presented by Diane Bender
Sample Organization of Speech Keith McCluskie described an amazing rollercoaster ride.
Table Topics Master: Heidi Menzi passed around an envelope of pictures and challenged everyone to describe it using the thanksgiving theme.

Area 66 Humorous Speech and Table topics contest was held October 7 2009 at Grace United Church Hanover. Keith Stoltz was sargeant at Arms and Jane Stoltz was an excellent chairperson. Marge Seawright was Chief judge. Diane Bender competed in the Humorous and Table Topic Contest. Brent in the Humorous Contest and Jessica Kelly in the Table Topics Contest. Jessica placed second.
