March 23rd Meeting, Theme- Apologies Excepted
Although there was only a handful of members at this meeting we did cover some ground. Marie chaired, Felix read an article about corporate Toastmaster Clubs. George came prepared to time and give us the Loyal Toast. Linda Piper presented Table Topics which put us in a tag team of skits. Ezra and Jim were present. Brian gave an off the cuff speech of how he perceived the commentators and certain events in the recent Winter Olympics. It was humourous as usual but he really should partake in a game of curling before he tries to understand the terms used in this sport. His speech was evaluated by round table.
We ended the meeting brain storming how we can retain current members that are not coming out to our meetings and to increase our membership. We all agreed that we need new life to our meetings. This could be accomplished with new members and a variety of formats to our meetings. One suggestion was to send out a survey. A gavel club was discussed.
Lights, Camera Action is the theme for our next meeting. Sounds like fun, please plan to attend.
