Hi Toastmaster Members:
What a great meeting last evening, everyone was enthusiastic with Let It Snow...
We had 2 returning guests and 3 terrific speakers. Heidi Menzi did her #9 speech on Persuade with Power..There's something wrong with our hospital system, Jessica Kelly did her #8 speech on Using Visual Aids...informing us on how to read the food labels and Keith Stoltz presented cc#9, a speech that he will chair to an organization next week. The word of the evening was "vociferous" (boisterous) which was used many times. The winner of the Table Topics was our guest Marilyn Hynds with her entertaining short speech on the new Olympic sport, catching snowflakes on your tongue!!!
Thank you again for making our guests feel welcome!
The Inspirational Thought for the Day:
Smile - it makes a world of difference.
Dance - who knows when you won't be able to.
Cry - holding those emotions in, is bad for you.
Hug - helps you and helps another.
Laugh - what's the point in hiding happiness?
Live - because life is everything.
Jane Stoltz
