Linguists of Listowel: Listen, Laugh, Learn and Lead

There were a lot of fortunes told this evening by Chairperson Brian Camacho. Everyone participated with enthusiasm and excitement.
The theme was Fortune cookies.
Leo chose the word Faze which means disconcert. It was used at least 9 times. Sharon D'Arcey read an article about Confucious, the famous philosopher whose words of wisdom are found in many fortune cookies. Great job Sharon!
Brent Jemmett wowed us with his story telling abilities and
Richard Boertien presented speech #5 in his CC manual. He used excellent body language to demonstrate his love of curling- It almost made me want to try it again or at least go out and watch one of his games.
Table topics was all about making the most of your fortune and Brent Jemmett won. Keith, Audrey and Marie all gave excellent evaluations.
Next weeks meeting theme is the Cat in the Hat so come with some rhyming words and enjoy two ice breaker speeches. Heidi will also present speech #9 in her CC manual! Please make time in your busy christmas schedules to enjoy an evening with your toastmaster friends.
