Diane Bender, Diana Snowden, Dorothy Dennis

Area Governor Diana Snowden met with area presidents Trudy, Dorothy and Diane at the Grey Rose Restaurant in Hanover on Wednesday August 19, 2009.
They discussed ideas on membership building, speechcraft, contests and the new "Go outside your club" program.
Tall Tales Contest August 6, 2009 at the home of Diane Bender
Contestants Keith Stoltz, Brent Jemmett, Audrey Orth, Chairperson Diane Bender

The tales were tall and very funny. We heard about Keith's ride in the rain, Brent's experiences helping his friend to move and Audrey's Lamb's at the Listowel Fair. Chairperson Diane presented first prize to Audrey Orth. Heidi was timer and Jane was Chief Judge. Elizabeth acted as counter and everyone judged the contestants. It was a great evening.
The Linguists of Listowel members enjoy meeting at members homes in the summer, then they will be back at the St Paul's Lutheran Church in Listowel on Thursday nights from 7:15 to 9 pm.
Next meeting is at the home of Heidi Menzi.

She accepted the office of President and announced the new slogan “Linguists of Listowel - listen, laugh, learn and lead.”
