Theme Fire and Ice
The last week of January ended with Fire and Ice. A small attendance with lots of warmth and sub zero temperatures prevailed throughout the evening. George Nichol did an excellent job on chair and began the evening with a Robert Frost poem on 'fire and ice'. We had two loyal toasts in the evening by Brent Jemmett and Elizabeth Coghlin ...way to go! Our word for the evening was 'brimstone' which was used by everyone. Jane gave an Educational Module on Gaining New Members is working towards getting another CL by June. Brent did a wonderful job on Table Topics and the winners were Audrey Orth and George Nichol. Next week's theme is Catalogues and the International and Evaluation Contest is fast approaching on Thursday February 21st. Lots of time for everyone to prepare a speech. Come on out and join in the fun at toastmasters! Remember the female gender is in the lead so far.
